CRDSA Board Chair and Co-Founder, Virginia Nido, published an article in the Society for Clinical Research Sites InSite Journal on how CRDSA is paving the way for more efficient clinical trials and data sharing. Titled “A New Non-Profit to Maximize Patient-Donated Data,” the article explores the various hurdles faced in the clinical research space, and why 20+ member organizations have banded together to form solutions to these issues.

Day 3 of the PHUSE Data Transparency Winter Event was all about the “Data Sharing Process.” Aaron Mann presented an in-depth CRDSA overview and discussed current data-sharing trends. The three-day event also featured excellent presentations by CRDSA member organizations including Cathal Gallagher (d-wise), and Lauren Hepburn (Privacy Analytics)

The IEEE Industry Standards and Technology Organization (ISTO), an International Federation of leading industry groups and consortia, announces one of its newest Federation members – the Clinical Research Data Sharing Alliance (CRDSA.) CRDSA was launched in August 2021 by a group of leading BioPharma companies, academic institutions, and non-profit data-sharing platforms to expand the research value of the high-quality data collected through the clinical trial process.

FDA and Project Data Sphere (PDS) hosted Symposium X on Data Sharing on September 23rd, 2021. PDS President and CRDSA Board Member Bill Louv opened the session, followed by a keynote address by Rob Califf, and CRDSA Board Member Frank Rockhold from Duke University presented as a panelist on Sustainability Practices in Sharing and Reuse.
